As an expert in disaster science and the background to the pandemic as well as a creative musical artist, Terry Gibson writes narratives which link the music to that strange moment. Ain't Nothing Working At All: The continual government changes of direction in response to the pandemic meant that in September 2020 we were facing escalating infections and an oncoming health crisis but the government refused to impose restrictions. After all we'd been through this song was an angry cry about nothing working at all. It was also a remote collaboration as vocals, production and added samples were bounced around between three locations.
